MORBID ANGEL/DIVINE HERESY Drummer TIM YEUNG Schedules Florida Clinic

February 20, 2011

Acclaimed extreme-metal drummer Tim Yeung (MORBID ANGEL, DIVINE HERESY, ALL THAT REMAINS, NILE, HATE ETERNAL and VITAL REMAINS) will hold his only Florida drum clinic on February 23 at Seminole Music & Sound in Seminole at 7 p.m.

For more information, see the flyer below.

Yeung last year finished laying down the drum tracks for the ninth full-length album from MORBID ANGEL at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with engineer Erik Rutan (former MORBID ANGEL guitarist and producer for such bands as CANNIBAL CORPSE and GOATWHORE). Due in June via Season Of Mist, the new CD will be the band's first to be recorded without longtime drummer Pedro "Pete" Sandoval, who underwent back surgery for a deteriorating disc problem.

Video footage of Yeung laying down the drums on one of the songs that will appear on the next MORBID ANGEL album can be viewed below.

Commented Yeung: "I must say that it is been a huge honor to be playing for one of my favorite bands that I grew up listening to as well as filling in for one of my biggest metal drumming inspirations.

"Overall, I think [this] may be one of [MORBID ANGEL's] most well-rounded albums ever. There are killer experimental electronic parts as well as some really cool groove parts. Don't worry — there is plenty of blast beats and blazing double bass as well!"

Rick Horton of The Metallic Onslaught conducted an interview with Yeung on November 6, 2010 when Tim took part in a drum clinic at The House Of Guitars in his hometown of Rochester, New York. You can now watch the chat below.
